Non-Conformance Materials Engineer
Hybrid β Bristol
Capgemini Engineering are looking to recruit Materials Engineers with knowledge of non-conformance within aerospace engineering.
An engineering activity that includes disposition and turnaround of non-conformance submissions.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical and expert advice across Defence Aerospace programmes with a particular focus on design and supply chain production support.
- Support design of test programmes and analysis of test programme data.
- Investigate engineering development, production manufacturing and in-service issues using a structured analytical approach and presenting findings clearly and authoritatively.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects.
Knowledge and Experience
- A qualification in Materials Science or Engineering or significant relevant experience. We welcome applications from people with metallics and non-metallics backgrounds.
- Good analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral and the ability to build good working relationships across the business.
- Knowledge of the gas turbine and its components is desirable.
- Understanding of Engineering/Manufacturing drawings, terms, and processes.
- Excellent organisational, communication and people skills.
- Methodical and logical approach to tasks, comfortable with working to deadlines.
- Will be required to obtain BPSS clearance.
