As a Cloud DevOps Engineer in our Cloud & Custom Applications practice, you will work on mission-critical systems that require high availability, security, and scalability. You will be responsible for building, automating, and optimizing cloud-based infrastructure while ensuring compliance with security standards.

Hybrid working: The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.

Your role:

  • Design, build, and manage AWS environments with a focus on automation, scalability, and security.
  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines, enabling continuous integration and continuous deployment for mission-critical applications.
  • Monitor system performance, availability, and security, implementing observability best practices.
  • Work in an Agile environment, engaging with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver iterative improvements.

Your skills and experience:

  • Essential:
  • Experience deploying and managing cloud infrastructure on AWS in secure environments.
  • Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, using tools such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, or ArgoCD.
  • Knowledge of containerization and orchestration, including Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation.
  • Understanding of AWS networking concepts, including VPCs, subnets, security groups.
  • Experience with monitoring and logging solutions, such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or AWS CloudWatch.
  • Familiarity with Zero Trust security models and best practices for securing cloud workloads.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and optimize cloud deployments.

Your security clearance: To be successfully appointed to this role, it is a requirement to obtain Developed Vetting (DV) clearance.
