Capex Recruitment are working in partnership with a market leading manufacturing firm based in Cookstown on the appointment of a Buyer. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for the procurement function of the business ensuring all goods and materials are on site and on time.

Responsibilities in your new role:

  • Build relationships with key suppliers ensuring all components are purchased competitively, on time and received within expected lead times
  • Continually monitor stock ensuring items that are running low are ordered and received on time to ensure the smooth day to day running of the business
  • Forecasting of all critical items, reviewing usages monthly and updating forecasts to the MRP system
  • Frequently liaise with couriers/shippers to arrange collection and shipment of all items as and when required
  • Matching POD’s to invoices and placing on the system, ensuring all prices agree to purchase order price and quantities received, any discrepancies being raised immediately

What you will need to succeed:

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a fast paced, purchasing department
  • Proficient with MRP/ERP as well as all Microsoft Office packages
