Capex Recruitment are exclusively partnering with a highly respected Irish main contractor to recruit two Senior Quantity Surveyors for a range of commercial, residential and specialist building projects across Dublin. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing all commercial aspects of projects from procurement through to completion
  • Preparing budgets, valuations, cost reports and commercial forecasts
  • Overseeing subcontractor procurement, negotiation and package management
  • Managing change control, variations and final account agreements
  • Monitoring project costs and supporting strong financial performance across projects
  • Working closely with operational teams, consultants and clients throughout project delivery
  • Supporting risk management, value engineering and contract administration processes
  • Mentoring and supporting junior members of the commercial team where required

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidates will have strong main contracting experience and the ability to commercially manage complex building projects. Applicants should demonstrate:

  • Minimum 5 years experience in a Senior QS role
  • Approximately 10 years overall construction industry experience
  • Degree qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction Economics
  • Proven experience managing projects from pre-contract through to final account
  • Strong understanding of procurement, cost control and commercial reporting
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Organised, self-motivated and commercially driven approach.
