CapEx Recruitment are working in partnership with our Heavy Machinery Manufacturing client based in Dungannon to support them with the recruitment of a Design/Continuous Improvement Engineer. Our client has a global customer base that spans various industries, such as Quarrying, Recycling, Mining, and many others, and is held in high regard worldwide for their commitment to manufacturing state-of-the-art machinery to suit many applications.
Duties will include:
- Lead the transition of new and improved products from design into production, supporting successful market introduction within a fast-paced engineering environment.
- Deliver product design improvements across the full lifecycle, from concept and detailed design through manufacture, installation, and ongoing technical support.
- Provide hands-on engineering support to production and Aftersales, resolving technical issues and ensuring designs meet company standards and performance requirements.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Design, and Sales teams to provide technical specifications, CAD models and drawings, site support, and expert technical advice.
- Actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, driving enhancements in manufacturing efficiency, product quality, and customer satisfaction.
What we are looking for:
- Degree Level Qualification in an Engineering discipline.
- Experience with CAD packages.
- Experience working in a design role and/or working closely with design teams within a manufacturing environment.
- Understanding of Lean principles, and a good general understanding of continuous improvement as it pertains to machinery manufacturing.
