Key Responsibilities in your new role:
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve the company’s procurement strategy, policies, and procedures, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the procurement team to ensure effective delivery of all purchasing operations.
- Oversee the sourcing and procurement of materials, equipment, and services to meet project and operational requirements.
- Negotiate supplier contracts, pricing structures, and service agreements to achieve cost efficiencies and maintain quality standards.
- Build and maintain strategic supplier relationships and manage performance through regular review and collaboration.
- Ensure on-time delivery of materials and services through proactive supplier and logistics management.
- Maintain robust procurement records and reporting using the company’s ERP and document management systems.
- Collaborate with key internal stakeholders including Project Management, Operations, and Finance to ensure procurement supports project success and budgetary goals.
- Drive sustainability, compliance, and continuous improvement throughout the supply chain.
- Manage the development and maintenance of the company’s Preferred Supplier List, ensuring a balance between reliability, competitiveness, and innovation.
What you will need to succeed:
- A minimum of 5 years experience in a senior procurement or supply chain management role.
- Proven ability to lead and develop a high-performing team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel) and experienced with MRP/ERP systems.
- A degree or professional qualification in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related discipline.
