Our department of Animal Management delivers an ambitious and diverse portfolio of provision, including:
- Level 1 Introduction to Animal Care
- Level 2 Animal Care Technical Diploma
- Level 3 Animal Management Diploma
- The T Level in Animal Management and behaviour
- Access to Higher Education Diplomas in Veterinary Science and Animal Science and Welfare
- A Keeper and Aquarist Apprenticeship
- Higher Education programmes in Animal Management and Zoology
- BSc (Hons) Animal Behaviour degree
Responsibilities:
- Lead, manage and develop a dynamic curriculum area within the department
- Inspire and support team to deliver exceptional teaching, foster a culture of innovation and reflective practice, and drive continuous improvement through robust self‑assessment and quality assurance
- Act as Lead Internal Verifier to ensure all quality assurance procedures are fully implemented and maintained to the highest standard
- Work collaboratively across the department and with industry partners to ensure that provision remains current, relevant and responsive to both student and employer needs
- Champion high standards of teaching, learning and assessment and encourage new and creative approaches to curriculum delivery
Qualifications:
- Hold a HND, degree or equivalent qualification in a science or animal‑related discipline
- Experience as a curriculum manager or classroom practitioner
