An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Practical Instructor in Animal Management to join Capel Manor College. Our Practical Instructors are responsible for supporting teaching staff across our Animal Management courses by providing practical demonstration and technical instruction to students. Practical Instructors supervise small groups of students to develop their practical skills through demonstrating the appropriate skills, methods and techniques. This might include demonstrating tasks such as feeding, handling and exercising animals. They will ensure that students can demonstrate the skills and behaviours required for the successful completion of their qualification and possess the knowledge that underpins the practical instruction. They will also ensure that the health and safety of the students and the animals is maintained whilst undertaking practical sessions.

The ideal candidates will hold at least a Level 3 qualification in Animal Management, and will have experience caring for animals. While experience working in education is not essential, applicants should have some experience training and instructing others to work with animals. This is an opportunity to join a vibrant, creative, and supportive team, with a shared passion and vision in making a positive impact to the lives of students of all ages and backgrounds. Many of our Practical Instructors move into Lecturing roles, so if you have relevant experience working with animals and an enthusiasm for passing your skills and knowledge onto others, we would like to hear from you.
