Capel Manor College is now looking to appoint a Curriculum Manager of Higher Education to join its team. The School of Animal Management offers a wide range of courses including a Level 1 Introduction to Animal Care, Level 2 Animal Care Technical Diploma, Level 3 Animal Management Advanced Diploma, Access to Higher Education Diplomas in Veterinary Science and Animal Science and Welfare, Keeper and Aquarist apprenticeships, and higher education courses in Animal Management, Zoology and Biodiversity.

Responsibilities:

  • Support, manage and develop a curriculum area within the department.
  • Work collaboratively and innovatively with staff to lead a culture of self‑assessment and continuous improvement.
  • Promote high standards of teaching and learning within the area.
  • Produce high standards of student achievement, progression and value added.
  • Ensure all quality assurance procedures are fully complied with.
  • Actively ensure a high quality of provision in response to student and employer/industry needs.
  • Promote new ways of teaching.

Qualifications:

  • HND, degree or equivalent in a science or animal‑related discipline.
  • Experience of working in the animal management industry.
  • Commitment to animal welfare.
  • Experience in curriculum management (preferred).
