An exciting opportunity has arisen at Capel Manor College and we are now seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Environmental Conservation to teach on our Conservation courses. These include courses between Levels 1 to 3 on Wildlife and Conservation and Environmental Conservation and Countryside Management. We also offer shorter courses on issues such as Carbon Literacy and Climate Change.
The Lecturer in Environmental Conservation will be responsible for teaching and assessing Conservation subjects, including ecological concepts, freshwater and wetland management, woodland management, plant and soil science and managing countryside visitor activities. The post holder will provide high quality teaching on the College’s Conservation courses and ensure the effective learning of students being taught. This will involve preparing and delivering stimulating lessons, setting goals that stretch and challenge all students, monitoring and assessing student progress, giving feedback and consistently demonstrating the positive attitudes, values and behaviours which are expected of students.
Applicants should possess a relevant qualification in Conservation or other associated subject. We welcome applications from experienced Lecturers and from those with relevant industry experience who are interested in passing on their skills to others.
