Do you have a passion for working with young people and helping them to succeed? Do you have a passion for the natural world and the environment? If so, the College is now looking to appoint Learning Support Assistants to join our team.
Our Learning Support Assistants are responsible for providing support to students with a variety of special educational needs on an individual or small group basis. Working with teaching staff, they assist in the delivery of vocational Land Based courses including GCSE Maths and English to support student inclusion and achievement. They are responsible for using strategies to support students with learning disabilities or difficulties or behavioural or emotional needs to achieve their learning goals, monitoring their progress, and providing regular and detailed feedback.
Previous experience working as a Learning Support Assistant is desirable. We look for individuals who are passionate about developing a nurturing learning environment and for supporting and helping others. Continuous professional development will be provided throughout the academic year.
Our Learning Support Assistant roles are term-time only and applicants will need to be able to work between the hours of 9.00am and 4.30pm. The salary will vary and will be pro-rata based on working hours per week.
