Capel Manor College is looking to recruit a HR Assistant to join its busy Human Resources Department. The HR Assistant role promises to be a varied one and no two days will be the same. The role will provide exposure to a range of people-related matters, such as:

  • organising job interviews and acting as HR representative on interview panels
  • issuing offer letters and contracts of employment
  • supporting the employee onboarding process by organising references, criminal records checks and medical clearance
  • inputting data into the HR system and maintaining staff personnel files
  • supporting staff on sick leave
  • attending HR meetings involving employees and their line managers
  • answering general enquiries from staff, managers and senior leaders

This role is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to establish a career in Human Resources. No previous HR experience is necessary and full training and support will be provided. Candidates should have the ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work accurately and to meet deadlines. They should also be able to develop effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders and have the ability to deal with difficult issues in a sensitive way.

The post will be based on site at the College’s campus in Enfield with some travel to other sites required. Hybrid working may be available to the right candidate after completion of their probationary period.
