About The Role and Person
We are seeking to appoint an experienced SEN Mentor to join our Student Services team. Do you enjoy working with young people and are you passionate about helping them reach their full potential? Do you have a passion or interest in the environment? Then Capel Manor College is the right place for you!
The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, compassion, be able to work in collaboration with all teams and have previous experience of working with young people who have mental health, learning difficulties or disabilities, wellbeing or personal development issues.
The ideal candidate will be a qualified mentor and have previously worked in an educational setting and supported young people with learning difficulties and disabilities. They will have a good knowledge of English and Maths and an understanding of Safeguarding, Prevent, equality and diversity policies and procedures, be able to work flexibly and adapt to the needs of the service.
This is a part-time role working 14.4 hours per week, 40 weeks per year. The actual salary is £10,221.79 - £11,026.12 inclusive of London weighting.
