An exciting opportunity has arisen at Capel Manor College and we are now seeking to appoint a Practical Instructor for Agriculture and Environmental Conservation. Our Practical Instructors support teaching staff by providing practical demonstration and technical instruction to students. They supervise small groups to develop practical skills by demonstrating the appropriate skills, methods and techniques. This may include demonstrating the use of machinery, harvesting crops and feeding livestock. They ensure students can demonstrate the required skills and behaviours for successful completion of their qualification and possess the knowledge that underpins the practical instruction. They also ensure the health and safety of students is maintained during practical sessions.

The ideal candidate will hold at least a Level 3 qualification in Agriculture or a related area, and will have practical experience working in the agricultural industry. While experience in education is not essential, applicants should be comfortable providing training and instruction to others.
