An exciting opportunity has arisen at Capel Manor College and we are now seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Floristry to provide high-quality teaching and learning on our Floristry courses. Our department of Floristry, event styling and creative arts offers a wide range of courses ranging from the Level 1 Foundation Diploma in Floristry through to the Level 3 Advanced Technical Diploma in Floristry. It also runs a number of short workshops throughout the year to include floral tablescaping designs, winter wreath and eco-floristry workshops.
Responsibilities
- Teach on a range of our floristry courses at Gunnersbury Park.
- Provide high quality teaching on the College’s Floristry courses and ensure the effective learning of students being taught.
- Prepare and deliver stimulating lessons, set goals that stretch and challenge all students, monitor and assess student progress, give feedback and consistently demonstrate the positive attitudes, values and behaviours which are expected of students.
- Join an established and highly successful team that is actively involved in a wide range of employer‑led commissions and student competitions, contributing to the team’s strong track record of creative excellence and industry engagement.
Qualifications and Experience
- Experience in teaching and with relevant industry experience.
- Enthusiastic individual with the ability to inspire, motivate and challenge students, and the ability to impart knowledge and develop understanding that promotes a love of learning and intellectual curiosity.
