We are currently seeking to appoint a part‑time Farm Shop Assistant to join the team at Forty Hall Farm. The successful candidate will work within our Farm Shop, selling the farm's organic produce, including fruit, vegetables, wines, flowers and free‑range meat alongside other artisan produce and gifts.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver outstanding customer service to shoppers.
- Serve customers and ensure the shop is well stocked and clean.
- Carry out various tasks associated with the efficient operation of the Farm Shop.
Requirements:
- Excellent people-skills and ability to build positive relationships across all levels.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with shop customers, staff, management and farm colleagues.
- Good numeracy and literacy skills; competent using a payment terminal and other shop equipment.
- Experience working in customer service or dealing with customers and members of the public.
- Ability to stay calm and efficient under pressure during busy shop hours.
- Team collaboration is emphasised.
- Familiarity or willingness to learn social media skills, particularly on Instagram, is desired.
Schedule:
Weekend working will be required for this role.
