About The Role and Person
Capel Manor College is looking to recruit a Part-time HR Advisor to join its busy Human Resources Department. The HR Advisor role is a generalist role, covering a range of HR activities, with a particular focus on employee relations.
The HR Advisor will have specific responsibility for supporting employee relation casework and providing management training to deal with such issues. They will also prepare routine and ad hoc reports, such as the staffing establishment report, reports for the Senior Leadership Team and committee papers for the Governing Body. They will also deal with statutory returns such as the Further Education Workforce Data Collection and Gender Pay Gap report and respond to freedom of information requests where HR information is required. The HR Advisor will also support other HR activities such as policy development, staff sickness management, and contractual changes.
This role is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain exposure to a wide range of people management activities. Experience working on complex employee relation cases would be advantageous. Candidates should have the ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing. They should have excellent attention to detail and the ability to work accurately and to meet deadlines. They should also be able to develop effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders and have the ability to deal with difficult issues in a sensitive way. A CIPD qualification would be advantageous. The post will be based on site at the College\’s campus in Enfield with some travel to other sites required.
This is a part-time position, working 14.4 hours per week. The actual salary is £12,265.60-£12,940.80 inclusive of London Weighting. This is a fixed-term position for 6 months in the first instance.
