Construction Solicitor (non-contentious) 4-8PQE

£60,000 - £90,000 DOE

We are looking to speak with experience Construction Solicitors to join a nationally recognised top tier firm. You will be advising on complex high value projects on a national scale across various sectors including healthcare, manufacturing, commercial development and energy acting for a wide range of clients including developers, project managers, funders, main contractors.

Day to day:

  • Collaborate with the Real Estate, Commercial Development and project teams to deliver commercially sound advice.
  • Drafting, review and negotiate contracts including JCT, NEC, FIDIC and bespoke agreements as well as supporting clients on MF/1 and other standard forms. The role offers exposure to high-value construction and engineering projects, including multi million £ matters.
  • Handling project documentation including collateral warranties, appointments, bond, guarantee and novation agreements,
  • Advising on a broad range of high-value complex construction and engineering projects across private and regulated sectors. This could include supporting major development and infrastructure work, negotiating complex construction contracts and advising on long term projects that involve significant regional and national investment.
  • The work is high profile and span the full lifecycle of projects from inception to completion. .
  • Overall, the work is varied, high-value and often nationally significant, spanning private development, complex industrial projects and large-scale regulated infrastructure programmes

About you:

  • Ideally 4-8 years PQE in construction law, with a strong focus on non-contentious work. We are open to candidates with both contentious and non-contentious experience, however the role is predominantly non-contentious. Candidates slightly outside this PQE range will also be considered if they have strong relevant experience.
  • Experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating construction contracts including JCT, NEC, FIDIC and bespoke agreements, as well as supporting on MF/1 and other standard forms.
