I’m working with a well-established claimant Personal Injury team with a strong local reputation and a consistent flow of work, offering a genuinely different environment to the typical high-volume, KPI-driven PI model.
This is an opportunity for an experienced Solicitor or Legal Executive who is confident running their own caseload and is looking to step away from heavy targets, micromanagement and high-pressure environments.
The Role
You will manage your own mixed caseload of claimant Personal Injury matters, typically spanning fast track and intermediate track work (up to £100,000 in value). The caseload is varied and includes RTA, EL and PL matters, with a consistent and stable flow of new work coming into the team. You will have full responsibility for your files from instruction through to settlement, with the autonomy to make decisions in the best interests of your clients without unnecessary internal restrictions or pressure. This role is about trusting you to do your job properly.
What Makes This Role Different
- Genuine autonomy – your cases, your clients, your decisions
- No micromanagement – you are trusted as a professional
- Lower targets – 5 chargeable hours per day
- Client-first approach – no pressure to issue or progress cases artificially
- Fully remote working with flexibility built around you
- Stable pipeline of work – consistent new instructions through referrals and reputation
This is a traditional, quality-driven PI environment rather than a volume model.
The Ideal Candidate
This role would suit:
- A Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with 3+ years’ PQE in claimant Personal Injury
- Someone experienced in managing a mixed caseload (RTA, EL, PL)
- A confident fee earner comfortable running files end-to-end
- Someone who values autonomy and wants to take ownership of their work
- A candidate looking to step away from heavy targets or overly structured environments
- Exposure to higher value work is beneficial but not essential. The focus is on strong fundamentals and the ability to manage files independently.
Progression
There is genuine long-term progression available within the team. While the immediate focus is on fast track and intermediate work, there will be opportunities over time to gain exposure to higher value matters and grow within the department.
What’s on Offer
- Salary up to £62,000 D.O.E.
- Fully remote working
- Low target environment (5 hours per day)
- High level of autonomy and flexibility
- Supportive and experienced team
- Long-term stability and progression
