We are working with a highly regarded US City law firm seeking a talented Competition Lawyer (2 – 4 PQE) to join this market-leading London US firm. This is an outstanding opportunity to join one of the City’s preeminent specialist Competition practices.

The Role

Due to continued growth and an increasing volume of instructions, the team is looking to recruit a specialist Competition lawyer to advise and have experience in the following:

  • EU and UK merger control;
  • Experience in all areas of antitrust;
  • Article 101/Chapter 1 cases (e.g., cartel investigations);
  • Abuse of dominance (Article 102/Chapter 2);
  • Competition litigation.

Candidate Requirements

To be considered, you will have:

  • 2-4 years PQE of dealing with competition matters;
  • Previous experience of working within a London US law firm or Magic Circle practice;
  • Ability to understand complex legal principles and apply them accordingly;
  • A high level of oral and written communication, presentation and influencing skills with the ability to quickly establish relationships at all levels;
  • Demonstrate ability to confidently interact with clients and actively seek new business development opportunities;
  • A commercial and pragmatic outlook;
  • Ability to demonstrate a flexible and hands-on attitude, responding effectively to rapidly changing circumstances.
