You’ll advise on high-value, complex development and infrastructure projects across the UK, working with long-standing clients across housing, education, healthcare, local government and infrastructure sectors.
Responsibilities
- Draft, negotiate and advise on construction documentation including JCT, NEC and bespoke contracts
- Advise on risk allocation and develop commercial, pragmatic contractual solutions
- Prepare and negotiate professional appointments, collateral warranties, performance bonds and parent company guarantees
- Manage matters from instruction through to completion, coordinating with clients, funders, counsel and stakeholders
- Support delivery of long-term PPP/PFI-style and major development projects
- Contribute to know-how, training and client updates on legal and market developments
Requirements
- 3+ years’ PQE in non-contentious construction law
- Strong experience drafting and negotiating JCT and NEC contracts
- Solid understanding of construction security documents (warranties, bonds, guarantees)
- Confident client-facing and relationship management skills
- Interest in infrastructure, development and public sector projects
