I’m working with a growing claimant Clinical Negligence team that is looking to recruit a Solicitor or Legal Executive (2+ PQE) to join them on a fully remote basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Clinical Negligence fee earner who enjoys running their own files, delivering excellent client care, and developing within a supportive and forward-thinking team environment.
The Role
You will manage a varied claimant Clinical Negligence caseload from initial instruction through to settlement, including both pre-action and litigated matters.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting initial consultations and triaging new enquiries
- Advising and supporting clients throughout their claims
- Managing cases end-to-end under the Clinical Negligence Pre-Action Protocol
- Drafting Letters of Claim and analysing Letters of Response
- Preparing witness statements, court documents and instructions to counsel
- Reviewing and analysing medical records and expert evidence
- Preparing detailed chronologies
- Instructing and liaising with medical experts and counsel
- Advising on funding arrangements including CFAs and ATE policies
- Negotiating effectively with defendants and insurers
- Managing litigated matters under the CPR
This role offers genuine autonomy while still providing strong supervision and mentoring where needed.
The Ideal Candidate
This role would suit:
- A Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with 2+ PQE in claimant Clinical Negligence
- Someone confident managing their own caseload (with supervision where appropriate)
- Strong drafting and analytical skills
- Solid understanding of the Pre-Action Protocol and CPR
- Excellent client care skills with an empathetic, people-focused approach
- A proactive and organised individual who enjoys working remotely
