Job Title: Personal Injury Legal Assistant/ Secretary
Salary: Β£25,000 – Β£30,000
Location: Manchester (minimum 2 days in the office per week)
Contract: Full-time, permanent, hybrid working available

Role Overview & Daily Responsibilities:
We’re working exclusively with an innovative, specialist law firm focused on acting for clients who have sustained Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBI). Due to continued growth, they are looking for an experienced Legal Assistant/Secretary to support the expanding team of Fee Earners.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing daily support to Fee Earners.
  • Chasing medical records and expert reports.
  • Sending out Forms of Authority and liaising with clients for documentation.
  • Scanning, filing and managing incoming documentation and correspondence.
  • Handling incoming telephone calls and directing to appropriate Fee Earners or taking detailed messages.
  • Updating the case management system accurately and regularly.
  • Booking appointments and managing diaries as needed.
  • Supporting wider administrative needs during busy periods, including document production, post handling and task list management.
  • Liaising with the Finance team on disbursements and other financial matters.
  • Ensuring compliance with internal procedures and standards.

Candidate Criteria:
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

  • Previous experience working in a personal injury legal environment.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Confidence using legal case management systems.
  • Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities.
