This is a genuine opportunity to join a well-established team handling complex, life-changing injury claims, while also playing a key role in the continued growth and development of the department. The environment is collaborative, supportive and adult in its approach, offering high-quality work without the overly corporate feel that can often come with larger Serious Injury teams.

The Role

You will manage your own caseload of complex catastrophic injury matters, including brain injuries, spinal injuries, amputations and serious orthopaedic trauma. The work is varied, high-value and genuinely interesting, with a strong emphasis on rehabilitation, client relationships and achieving the best possible long-term outcomes. You will work closely with leading Counsel, medical experts and rehabilitation providers, while also supporting and mentoring junior lawyers within the team. There is also scope to become more involved in business development, networking and helping shape the future direction of the department over time.

What Makes This Role Stand Out

  • High-quality catastrophic injury work
  • Genuine autonomy and trust
  • Supportive and collaborative culture
  • Opportunity to play a key role within the team
  • Clear long-term progression
  • Strong reputation within claimant Serious Injury
  • A team focused on quality of work and client outcomes rather than unnecessary internal pressures

  • Has strong claimant multi-track litigation experience
  • Enjoys handling complex and sensitive catastrophic injury matters
  • Values quality client care and long-term relationships
  • Is confident mentoring and supporting junior colleagues
  • Wants to play a more senior and influential role within a team

Experience handling brain injury, spinal injury, amputation or other life-changing injury claims would be highly advantageous.
