I am working exclusively with two senior Partners at a leading defendant insurance litigation practice in the Midlands, who are expanding their motor recoveries team due to continued growth in insurer instructions.
The team acts for major insurers and self-insured clients, handling a broad range of high-volume and technically varied motor recovery matters, from pre-litigation recoveries through to issued proceedings and enforcement.
These roles offer an excellent opportunity for experienced Paralegals to develop within a partner-led, commercially focused insurance environment, with clear long-term progression prospects.
The Role
- You will support the Partner-led motor recoveries team with the day-to-day management of recovery files, ensuring matters progress efficiently and in line with client expectations.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with motor recoveries from initial assessment through to resolution
- Preparing pre-action correspondence and supporting issued proceedings
- Recoveries relating to credit hire, vehicle damage, loss of use and uninsured losses
- Liaising with insurers, claims handlers, engineers and third parties
- Maintaining accurate case management records and MI
- Supporting senior fee-earners on more complex recovery disputes
About You
- Previous experience as a Paralegal or Litigation Assistant within motor recoveries, insurance litigation or defendant PI
- Familiarity with pre-action protocols and CPR processes
- Confident managing a busy caseload in a volume-driven environment
- Strong organisation, attention to detail and communication skills
- Commercial awareness and understanding of insurer requirements
