Overview

We are seeking a Leakage Detection Dog Handler to join our team, supporting multiple utility clients across the South of England. This role combines technical fieldwork with the unique capability of trained detection dogs to identify and prevent water loss. You will be responsible for delivering accurate and professional leakage detection services, while ensuring the welfare and effective deployment of a detection dog under your care.

Responsibilities

  • Undertake leakage detection surveys in collaboration with a trained detection dog.
  • Ensure the housing, welfare, and ongoing care of an assigned detection dog.
  • Travel to and work across client sites within the South of England.
  • Produce accurate reports and maintain professional client communication.
  • Uphold the company’s standards in safety, professionalism, and service delivery.

Qualifications

  • Experience in detection dog handling and training, or proven leakage detection experience within the utilities sector.
  • Ability to house and care for a detection dog.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
  • Strong work ethic, independence, and professionalism in client and customer facing environments.
