We are seeking a full-time Pest Technician specialising in bedbugs to join our operational team. This role will be based primarily on-site across London (with occasional travel and overnight stays) and will focus on the delivery of bedbug services, including inspections, treatments, and monitoring programmes for social housing providers.

The successful candidate will follow structured service protocols, ensure accurate reporting, and maintain high levels of professionalism when dealing with tenants, clients, and colleagues. Over time, this role offers the opportunity to progress into a specialist bedbug detection dog handler position, working as part of an advanced canine operations team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct detailed bedbug inspections in residential and commercial properties.
  • Apply integrated pest management (IPM) techniques for prevention and control.
  • Operate monitoring and treatment equipment in compliance with safety standards.
  • Produce accurate and timely reports for clients and internal records.
  • Liaise professionally with housing providers, tenants, and other stakeholders.
  • Maintain all tools, equipment, and PPE in service-ready condition.
  • Travel to various sites as required, including occasional overnight stays.
Qualifications & Requirements:
  • BPCA/RSPH Level 2 Award in Pest Management or equivalent.
  • Previous pest control experience, ideally with a focus on bedbugs.
  • Understanding of Integrated Pest Management (IPM) principles.
  • Proven reliability, attention to detail, and ability to follow set procedures.
  • Strong communication skills and a professional approach to client interactions.
  • Physical fitness and ability to work in varied environments.
  • Willingness to travel and work occasional nights away from home.
  • Interest in progressing into canine-assisted bedbug detection operations.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Start Date: January 2026

Salary: £30,000 – £33,000 per annum (dependent on experience).
