Overview of Role

This role plays a key part in supporting the sales and finance functions of the business and is essential to ensuring that all UK revenue is accurately invoiced and accounted for. The successful candidate will be highly organised, proactive, and detail-oriented, with strong communication and time management skills. You will be expected to manage priorities effectively, communicate clearly with stakeholders, and consistently deliver a high standard of service, while demonstrating a collaborative approach and providing support to colleagues across the business.

What you'll do

  • Support the end-to-end sales and billing process, from quotation through to invoice generation and revenue recognition.
  • Prepare, manage, and issue accurate customer invoices across multiple territories in line with contractual and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain effective tracking and timely follow-up of purchase orders to support prompt payment and minimise billing delays.
  • Resolve invoicing, account, and billing queries efficiently, escalating pricing or contractual issues where appropriate.
  • Communicate professionally with customers and internal stakeholders by telephone and in writing.
  • Ensure all billing activity is completed accurately and within month-end deadlines to support financial reporting requirements.
  • Perform billing reconciliations and investigate discrepancies, disputes, and escalations, identifying and implementing corrective actions where required.
  • Monitor billing performance, batch processing, and reconciliation outputs to ensure operational accuracy and stability.
  • Work closely with Finance to support month-end close activities, reporting, and audit requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve, streamline, and automate billing processes and administrative tasks to increase efficiency and reduce manual error.
  • Provide ad hoc support and undertake additional duties as required by the Line Manager and wider business stakeholders.

What you'll bring

  • Minimum of 1–2 years’ experience in a billing, invoicing, or revenue administration role.
  • Previous experience working within a B2B environment is essential.
  • Experience within the technology sector, or a similar fast-paced commercial environment, is highly desirable.
  • Exposure to multi-site and multi-currency billing operations would be advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage high volumes of data accurately and efficiently.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet strict deadlines.
  • Competent using finance and billing systems, with strong Microsoft Excel skills preferred.
