We are responsible for the delivery of Compensation & Benefits Programmes on behalf of our UK client.
This is a brand-new role, created to give our client's reward strategy the dedicated focus it deserves. You'll take ownership of how the organisation attracts, retains and motivates its people through pay and benefits — with real scope to shape the function rather than inherit someone else's framework.
We're looking for someone with a strong technical compensation skill set first and foremost, ideally complemented by job evaluation experience. This is offered as a part-time role (hours to be agreed with the right candidate) on a hybrid basis, and we're open to a higher calibre of candidate trading hours for seniority and expertise.
What You'll Be Doing
- Compensation & Reward Strategy
- Conduct salary benchmarking and timely market analysis to keep pay competitive, equitable and compliant.
- Oversee pay structures, salary bands and grading frameworks across all divisions.
- Support job evaluation and role grading activity, and act as a point of expertise for the HR team.
- Lead the annual pay review process.
- Monitor internal pay equity and oversee reward governance.
- Design and implement bonus schemes.
- Benefits Management
- Manage all aspects of benefits, including healthcare, employee insurances, wellbeing, pension and flexible benefit programmes.
- Lead annual benefit renewals, managing suppliers and brokers to secure competitive terms.
- Review benefit utilisation data and shape future offerings accordingly.
- Ensure the benefits offering aligns with the wider Employee Value Proposition.
- Drive awareness and engagement through clear, effective benefits communications.
- Governance & Compliance
- Partner with Payroll to ensure compliance with employment, tax and reward legislation, and to implement reward changes smoothly.
- Support Gender Pay Gap reporting and other statutory reporting requirements.
- Produce dashboards and management reports for HR and senior stakeholders.
- Maintain data accuracy across HR and Payroll systems.
What We're Looking For
- 3–5 years' experience spanning both compensation and benefits administration.
- Strong, demonstrable compensation expertise — this is the heart of the role.
- Strong Excel skills and confidence working with data and analytics.
- Proven experience running salary reviews.
- Experience leading market reviews with benefits suppliers across a broad portfolio, including employee insurances.
- Good working knowledge of UK Employment Law.
- Hands-on exposure to job evaluation methods.
- Previous involvement in Gender Pay Gap analysis and reporting.
Why Join
- A genuinely blank-page opportunity to build and own the reward function.
- Flexible, part-time working arranged around the right candidate.
- Hybrid working pattern.
- Join an organisation with a strong people-first culture and an award-winning, technology-led platform.
