Position Overview
The purpose of this position is to assume responsibility for all aspects of exercise and chemical stress testing under the supervision of the Nurse Practitioner and Physician.
Responsibilities
- Provide service excellence to patients, families, visitors, volunteers, and coworkers.
- Monitor and evaluate EKG tracings during exercise testing.
- Supervise and coordinate exercise testing protocols, document patient status, treatments, medications, and responses.
- Evaluate patients for stress testing, review charts, and interpret physician orders.
- Terminate tests as required by protocols or patient tolerance.
- Document changes in patient condition and treatments.
- Coordinate staffing and schedule stress techs.
- Initiate service calls and schedule preventative maintenance.
- Manage supplies and order as needed.
- Process studies for billing and documentation in electronic records.
- Record vital signs, observe patient condition, and monitor for complications.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science.
- Successful completion of Basic Arrhythmia course or challenge exam.
- BLS, EKG certification, and ACLS required.
- Must complete Radiation Safety training within 1 month of hire and renew annually.
Schedule and Organization
Per Diem hours, rotating days, occasional weekends, no holidays. Part of Falmouth Hospital Association, located in Massachusetts-Falmouth, within the FHA-CV Center-Echo/Nuclear/Vas department.
