Position Overview

The purpose of this position is to assume responsibility for all aspects of exercise and chemical stress testing under the supervision of the Nurse Practitioner and Physician.

Responsibilities

1. Provide service excellence to patients, families, visitors, volunteers, and coworkers.
2. Monitor and evaluate EKG tracings during exercise testing.
3. Supervise and coordinate exercise testing protocols, document patient status, treatments, medications, and responses.
4. Evaluate patients for stress testing, review charts, and interpret physician orders.
5. Terminate tests as required by protocols or patient tolerance.
6. Document changes in patient condition and treatments.
7. Coordinate staffing and schedule stress techs.
8. Initiate service calls and schedule preventative maintenance.
9. Manage supplies and order as needed.
10. Process studies for billing and documentation in electronic records.
11. Record vital signs, observe patient condition, and monitor for complications.
12. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor\’s Degree in Exercise Science.
• Successful completion of Basic Arrhythmia course or challenge exam.
• BLS, EKG certification, and ACLS required.
• Must complete Radiation Safety training within 1 month of hire and renew annually.

Schedule and Organization

Per Diem hours, rotating days, occasional weekends, no holidays. Part of Falmouth Hospital Association, located in Massachusetts-Falmouth, within the FHA-CV Center-Echo/Nuclear/Vas department.
