Catastrophic Injury Solicitor - NQ to 3 PQE
Liverpool | Hybrid working | Β£42,000-Β£62,000
A move into catastrophic injury work is possible before you have a CV full of catastrophic injury cases. This Liverpool team is interested in junior solicitors with a sound defendant personal injury grounding who want to develop that specialism.
I'm recruiting for a national insurance firm offering a mix of your own litigation and support on larger claims with experienced lawyers. The work includes motor, employers' liability, public liability and product liability matters involving serious and life-changing injuries.
You will develop your understanding of brain and spinal injury, amputation and fatal claims, while continuing to build the practical skills that come from managing files yourself. That means investigating liability, reviewing medical and other expert evidence, preparing advice and working towards a proportionate resolution for the insurer client.
The role would suit an NQ to three-year PQE solicitor with relevant defendant motor or EL/PL experience. Previous large-loss work is useful, but is not a prerequisite. The team is looking for someone who can apply their existing litigation skills to more complex cases and take increasing responsibility as their experience develops.
The appeal is a clear change in the quality and complexity of the work, without expecting you to have made that step already. The position is based in Liverpool with hybrid working. Speak with me confidentially about the team, supervision and likely balance between your own files and assisting work.
For a confidential discussion, contact Alex Groom at CapeClarke on 07551 663708 or alex.groom@capeclarke.com.
An initial conversation does not need to involve sending your CV.
