Clinical Negligence Lawyer | Manchester | Hybrid | Up to £60,000
CapeClarke is recruiting for approximately three opportunities in a Manchester claimant clinical negligence team. Applications are welcome from experienced clinical negligence lawyers and personal injury litigators who want to move into medical negligence work. Hybrid working is available, with salary up to £60,000 depending on relevant experience.
The work involves investigating claims arising from medical treatment, reviewing records, analysing breach of duty and causation and obtaining independent expert evidence. You will help build a clear picture of a client’s injury and losses, prepare claims for litigation and work with counsel where needed. The balance between your own files and assisting with complex cases will reflect your background.
For experienced clinical negligence applicants, we are looking for the ability to progress files, assess evidence and communicate sensitively with clients. For applicants moving from personal injury, you should bring experience managing litigated claims, drafting documents, working with experts and assessing liability and quantum. Retraining is available for candidates with relevant PI litigation experience.
This is a distinct opportunity for lawyers already practising in clinical negligence and for experienced litigators changing specialism. You should be able to manage deadlines, explain difficult issues clearly and approach medical evidence carefully.
Manchester base with hybrid working. Salary up to £60,000, depending on experience.
