Your first move into large-loss litigation should give you more than a supporting role on somebody else's files. This Manchester opportunity combines a multi-track caseload of your own with hands-on involvement in catastrophic injury claims alongside experienced specialists.
I'm recruiting for a national defendant insurance practice acting for insurers and corporate clients. You will work on motor and EL/PL litigation, building your own case-management skills while contributing to cases involving life-changing injuries and substantial future losses.
The larger claims will introduce you to the detail that makes this work absorbing: medical and care evidence, rehabilitation, complex schedules of loss and the decisions that shape settlement. On your own files, you will take responsibility for progressing the defence and keeping clients informed. The balance of work will reflect the experience you bring.
This would suit an NQ to three-year PQE solicitor with a grounding in personal injury litigation and a clear interest in serious injury work. You do not need to arrive having independently run a catastrophic injury caseload.
The role offers a practical route to develop a large-loss specialism, with experienced lawyers around you and a minimum of two days each week in the Manchester office. I can explain the team and likely starting caseload before you decide whether it is the right next move.
