Catastrophic Injury Associate / Senior Associate – Claimant

London | London hybrid or UK remote | Β£75,000–£95,000

I'm working with a specialist claimant serious injury law firm to recruit an Associate or Senior Associate for its catastrophic injury practice. The role offers a London office option with hybrid working, or fully remote working from elsewhere in the UK.

There is a useful distinction in the structure of this appointment: you will lead the cases, with a qualified solicitor working alongside you and paralegal support for the day-to-day administration and file management. It is an opportunity for an experienced lawyer who wants case ownership and the support to prepare complex claims in depth.

The work

You will conduct high-value catastrophic injury matters, setting the approach to liability, causation, quantum and settlement. You will direct the medical and other expert evidence, work with counsel and case managers and develop the case on rehabilitation, care and long-term financial loss.

Your role will include interim funding strategy, drafting and reviewing key documents, preparing matters for negotiation or trial and maintaining a close relationship with clients and families. You will also supervise and develop the solicitor supporting your caseload.

Who I'm looking for

The appointment is aimed at an experienced claimant serious injury practitioner operating at Associate or Senior Associate level, with around six or more years' PQE as a guide. Solicitors and legal executives with equivalent relevant experience are welcome to enquire. You should have a record of handling complex, high-value claims and be comfortable directing both case strategy and the work of colleagues.

The salary range is Β£75,000–£95,000, plus bonus and benefits. London hybrid or UK remote working is available, with travel for relevant client commitments, conferences and team meetings. I can discuss the firm, support structure and level of appointment confidentially.
