Inquests Solicitor / Associate
Leeds | Hybrid - light office attendance after training | Β£50,000-Β£77,000
If inquest advocacy is the work you want to do more of, this Leeds appointment offers a focused role representing healthcare organisations, together with unusually light office attendance once training is complete.
I'm recruiting for a specialist healthcare law practice seeking a Solicitor or Associate with around two to six years' PQE. You will advise and represent healthcare clients through coronial investigations and hearings, including Article 2 and jury inquests.
The work combines preparation and advocacy: understanding the records, working with witnesses, identifying the issues for the hearing and helping clients respond to difficult questions. You will also contribute to client training and, depending on experience, support junior colleagues.
A background in inquests or related regulatory work will be relevant. The team can consider solicitors and barristers, including lawyers whose existing inquest experience has been gained representing families, provided they can bring the advocacy and preparation skills the role requires.
The working arrangement is a particular attraction. Following completion of training, the advertised expectation is attendance in the office once or twice a month. That gives the role a wider reach for candidates able to work effectively from home while attending hearings and working with the team as needed.
Contact me confidentially to discuss the advocacy, client work and how the training and attendance arrangement would apply to you.
