A rare opportunity has arisen for an experienced Clinical Negligence lawyer to join an established and highly regarded claimant team in the West Midlands. This is a genuine senior leadership appointment offering the opportunity to step into an existing caseload of highly complex, high-value Clinical Negligence matters already in litigation, whilst working closely alongside the Head of Department as effectively the number two within the team.

The Role

The successful individual will inherit an existing caseload consisting of significant brain and birth injury work, alongside fatality, orthopaedic, cancer and amputation claims. Several of the matters are currently litigated and valued in excess of £10m, offering exposure to genuinely top-end Clinical Negligence work. Alongside managing complex claimant matters, the role will involve supervision, mentoring and playing a key role in the continued development and strategic direction of the department. This opportunity would suit somebody looking for a more influential leadership position within an established Clinical Negligence team, whilst continuing to handle exceptional quality work.
