We are seeking two individuals to join the Constabulary Team at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew as Constables, helping to maintain a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for visitors, staff, residents, and stakeholders. Working as part of a dedicated team, you will provide a highly visible frontâline security presence across the Gardens, supporting daily operations, public events and emergency responses. The role plays a vital part in safeguarding people, property and assets while ensuring an excellent visitor experience at one of the UK's most iconic destinations.
Appointment into the role will be subject to an Enhanced DBS check during the preâemployment process.
- Partâtime hours per week â Annualised hours for fullâtime (on average 36 hours per week)

You will be a professional, calm, and approachable individual with experience in a security, stewarding, customer service or other publicâfacing operational role. You will be confident dealing with a wide range of people and situations, including incidents or emergencies, while maintaining a strong focus on safety and customer service.
Essential Requirements- A good standard of education (minimum 5 GCSEs / NVQ Level 2 or equivalent)
- Experience in a publicâfacing operational role, with strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to apply policies and procedures fairly and proportionately
- A full UK driving licence
- Basic IT skills, including Microsoft Outlook and Word
- Willingness to undergo enhanced DBS checks
- Willingness to undertake SIA training if required and to maintain First Aid at Work certification
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends and public holidays
