The Role
Capco is seeking a Management Consultant with strong Commercial and Specialty Insurance expertise to join our growing Insurance practice. This role combines business analysis, operating model design, and delivery leadership across complex transformation programmes.
You will partner with leading insurers across Property, Liability, Marine, Energy, and other Specialty lines to modernise underwriting and claims processes, support post-M&A integration, and drive digital platform transformation. From shaping client strategy through to implementation and benefits realisation, you will play a central role in delivering meaningful change across the commercial insurance value chain.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and support transformation initiatives across Commercial & Specialty Insurance, from discovery through to implementation
- Conduct current state assessments and design target operating models across underwriting, claims, and policy administration
- Define and document business and functional requirements, translating strategy into structured delivery artefacts
- Manage workstreams, stakeholder engagement, governance, and implementation support including testing and UAT
- Identify opportunities for digital enablement, platform optimisation, and operational efficiency improvements
What We’re Looking For
- Strong experience within Commercial or Specialty Insurance, including London Market or broader corporate insurance environments
- Knowledge of Specialty lines such as Property, Liability, Marine, or Energy
- Demonstrable experience delivering business‑led or technology‑enabled transformation programmes
- Ability to bridge business and technology stakeholders within complex regulatory environments
- Strong communication, facilitation, and structured problem‑solving capability
Bonus Points For
- Experience with insurance platforms such as Guidewire, Sequel, or legacy policy/claims systems
- Exposure to Agile delivery frameworks such as Scrum, SAFe, or hybrid models
- Experience supporting post‑merger integration or ESG/sustainability initiatives
- Professional certifications such as PRINCE2, PMP, BCS Business Analysis, or Scrum Master
- Prior consulting or client‑facing delivery experience
