The Role
Capco is hiring a Senior Data Modelling Consultant to help shape and implement enterprise-grade data models for top-tier financial services clients. In this role, you'll use your analytical mindset and modelling expertise to drive business understanding, support large-scale data migrations, and deliver best-practice modelling solutions aligned to industry standards.
What You'll Do
- Conduct business analysis to define data requirements and support metadata management
- Design and deliver conceptual, logical, and physical data models for complex data programmes
- Identify data entities and relationships and map source-to-target transformations
- Support data governance activities including standards enforcement and review forums
- Use modelling tools (e.g. Sparx, Erwin, Power Designer) to develop, curate and refine models
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in financial services data modelling within data migration or architecture programmes
- Strong grasp of data modelling layers and standards (conceptual, logical, physical)
- Familiarity with financial reference models such as fpML, FIX, or FIBO
- Skilled in data model documentation, stakeholder engagement, and metadata practices
- Understanding of RDBMS, UML, JSON/XML schemas, and project lifecycles (Agile preferred)
Bonus Points For
- Hands-on experience with data modelling tools such as Erwin, Sparx, Visual Paradigm
- Experience working with ontologies and knowledge of RDF/OWL/TTL
- Exposure to Python or SQL scripting in support of data model design
- Knowledge of data governance and enterprise metadata integration strategies
- Background in working on regulatory or compliance-related data transformation initiatives
