The Role
As a Senior DevOps Engineer at Capco, you’ll design and deliver scalable, automated, and secure cloud platforms that power the next generation of financial services. Working within cross-functional agile teams, you’ll drive the adoption of modern DevOps practices and continuous delivery frameworks that help our clients transform their technology landscapes. You’ll work on both greenfield and enterprise-scale projects, spanning cloud-native, hybrid, and on-premise environments. This role will sit in our Scotland office, with a need to potentially work in either Edinburgh or Glasgow depending on client expectations.
What You’ll Do
- Design and implement cloud-based infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines across major cloud providers.
- Automate and optimise deployment processes using infrastructure-as-code.
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to enhance performance, reliability, and security.
- Drive continuous improvement through innovation and experimentation.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to Capco’s growing DevOps community.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience with AWS and strong understanding of cloud networking and security.
- Expertise in containerisation (Docker) and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Experience with scripting (Python, Groovy) to build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, CircleCI, or GoCD.
- Solid understanding of monitoring, automation, and configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Helm).

- Experience in financial services or consulting projects.
- Hands‑on knowledge of test orchestration (Cucumber, Karate, Selenium).
- Exposure to Kubernetes ecosystems (Istio, Kiali, Fortio).
