Help capital markets organisations turn AI opportunities into scalable front-to-back business solutions.
The Role
Join Capco's Capital Markets practice as an AI Business Analyst, helping investment banks, trading firms, market infrastructure providers, and capital markets organisations bridge the gap between emerging AI capabilities and measurable business outcomes. This role sits at the intersection of business analysis, AI enablement, and transformation delivery, supporting clients across front, middle, and back-office functions to identify and implement AI-driven solutions within complex, highly regulated environments. You will work closely with business stakeholders, trading and operations teams, technology delivery teams, and AI specialists to shape AI use cases, optimise workflows, define requirements, and support the rollout of AI-enabled capabilities across areas such as trade lifecycle management, client servicing, operations, risk, and regulatory processes.
The role requires strong stakeholder engagement, analytical problem solving, requirements management, and delivery support, alongside an understanding of how AI technologies can improve operational efficiency, decision-making, and productivity across capital markets organisations. Alongside supporting transformation delivery, you will help clients adopt AI responsibly by balancing innovation with governance, operational resilience, regulatory compliance, and change readiness. You will contribute to workshops, process analysis, AI performance insights, and adoption activities, ensuring AI solutions are not only technically viable, but also practical, scalable, and valuable for the business.
What You'll Do
- Work with stakeholders across capital markets organisations to identify, analyse, and define AI-enabled business opportunities across trading, operations, risk, compliance, post-trade, and client servicing functions.
- Facilitate workshops, gather and document requirements, analyse business processes, and help translate business challenges into practical AI, automation, and agentic workflow solutions.
- Support Agile and hybrid delivery programmes through backlog refinement, user stories, acceptance criteria, stakeholder coordination, reporting, and governance activities.
- Partner with AI engineers, architects, product owners, and delivery teams to support the development, testing, validation, and rollout of AI-enabled capabilities within regulated capital markets environments.
- Contribute to responsible AI adoption by supporting governance, operational risk, compliance, change management, training, and business readiness activities across client organisations.
What We're Looking For
- Experience working as a Business Analyst, Consultant, or transformation professional within capital markets environments, with strong exposure to areas such as Equities, Fixed Income, Derivatives, Prime Services, Clearing, Collateral, Risk, or Post-Trade Operations.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, workshop facilitation, requirements gathering, and communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business-focused outcomes for trading and operations stakeholders.
- Understanding of AI technologies and the wider AI/ML ecosystem, including Generative AI, GPT, Copilot, NLP, workflow automation, or agentic AI solutions within financial services.
- Experience supporting digital, data, or AI-enabled transformation programmes, with exposure to Agile delivery methodologies, process optimisation, and change adoption activities.
- Analytical and adaptable mindset, with an understanding of governance, operational risk, and regulatory considerations relating to AI adoption within capital markets organisations.
Bonus Points For
- Previous consulting or advisory experience within a professional services environment supporting capital markets clients.
- Experience supporting AI product delivery, AI commercialisation, workflow automation, or operational efficiency initiatives within investment banking or markets functions.
- Familiarity with SDLC, DevOps, MLOps, enterprise AI platforms, or AI governance frameworks.
- Experience developing reporting, dashboards, presentations, or management information to support AI performance tracking and business decision-making.
- Exposure to tools and platforms such as Microsoft Copilot Studio, Power Platform, Power Automate, or enterprise AI ecosystems.
Benefits
- Core Benefits: Discretionary bonus, competitive pension, health insurance, life insurance and critical illness cover.
- Mental Health: Easy access to CareFirst, Unmind, Aviva consultations, and in-house first aiders.
- Family-Friendly: Maternity, adoption, shared parental leave, plus paid leave for sickness, pregnancy loss, fertility treatment, menopause, and bereavement.
