Job Opportunity: Team Leader We are recruiting a Team Leader (8 hours per week) to work during our weekend services for children and young people with additional support needs in Edinburgh. The role involves providing engaging activities such as baking, arts and crafts, games, sports, community trips, and outdoor play to ensure young people have fun! Our sessions are 4 hours long on Saturdays and Sundays, and you will work two weekends per month, along with administrative duties for the service. The Team Leader will be responsible for planning and delivering each session, maintaining personal plans for young people, ensuring compliance with Care Inspectorate requirements and health and safety standards, and supporting a small staff team. Experience in a childcare setting is essential, and candidates should be working towards or have achieved one of the following qualifications: BA Childhood Practice SQA Professional Development Award in Childhood Practice (360 credits at SCQF Level 9) BA (Hons) Childhood Practice Graduate Diploma in Childhood Practice Applicants with an SVQ3/SVQ4 qualification in Children and Young People who are planning to start their degree in childhood practice will also be considered. You may be required to provide personal care for young people. Completion of Child Protection and Emergency First Aid training within the first 6 months of employment is mandatory and will be provided by Capability Scotland.
