About the Role
Location: The Studio Hub, Upper Springland and Community Outreach Services – Isla Road, Perth PH2 7HQ
Hours: 37 hours per week until 28 February 2027
We are looking for a Team Leader to support our Service Manager in managing our vibrant Day Centre and Community Outreach teams in Perth. If you are passionate about supporting adults with complex disabilities and want each day at work to truly make a difference, this is the role for you.
Example shifts: Monday‑Friday, 7.5 hours – either 8:30 am or 9:00 am to 4:30 pm or 5:00 pm. On‑call support occurs 7 days out of every 28 days, including evenings and weekends.
Responsibilities
- Rota management
- Staff management, supervision, recruitment, and development
- Managing supported persons’ activities
- Health and safety compliance
- Compiling and checking Care and Support plans for those we support
- Management of medicines procedures
- Financial management for people we support
- Liaising with families, health and care professionals, and social workers
- Regular on‑call support – shared with the existing group of Team Leaders across Upper Springland Services
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience of leading a team within a social care environment is essential, as is a willingness to undertake personal development opportunities.
- You should have a care‑related SVQ Level 4 or be willing to gain this qualification within a specified timescale.
- Good interpersonal skills, the ability to work as part of a team, and a capacity for independent initiative are required.
- A driving licence is preferred due to the travel demands of the role.
