The Role:

We are looking for caring and reliable Support Workers to join our Lanarkshire Houses service, covering locations in Lanark and Carluke. In this role, you will support adults with complex needs within a warm, home-style environment that promotes independence, dignity, and individuality. The people we support live in their own self-contained accommodation, either independently or with others.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering tailored one-to-one or two-to-one support
  • Assisting with personal care, medication, and daily routines
  • Supporting mobility and communication needs
  • Preparing meals and helping maintain a safe, comfortable home
  • Encouraging participation in social and leisure activities such as shopping, outings, and family visits

Location: Lanarkshire Houses Service, Dovecot Lane, Lanark (ML11 7PX), with occasional shifts at Windmill Gardens, Carluke (ML8 4EZ)

Working Pattern: Full-time, 36 hours per week, 3 night shifts (12 hours each), including weekends on a planned rota so you can manage your work-life balance effectively.

Requirements:

  • A driving licence is desirable but not essential
  • Due to the nature of the role, including personal care, current vacancies are restricted to female applicants. This is a genuine occupational requirement in line with Schedule 9, Part 1 of the Equality Act 2010.
