We love what we do here and are looking to recruit Community Living Assistants for our daycentre and community living services based in Dundee.

The role – Community Living Assistant

We support children & adults with a variety of complex disabilities in our spacious, fully accessible hub setting, which offers sensory, kitchen, craft and adapted independent living skills spaces. It’s central location also helps our customers enjoy what the city has to offer.

You will be supporting our customers on either one-to-one or group care; your day will include helping them with their personal care, dressing, medication, mealtimes and participating in their chosenactivities for that day.

You will also support our customers in their own homes & community. You will assist with their daily living routines, care needs and facilitating their attendance at school, college, appointments & social events. We are particularly interested in hearing from candidates with a skill or passion to share such as baking, music or photography – if you love it, this will shine through to the people you support, giving them a taste of new experiences whilst learning new skills.

What you need to know

Hours: Our growing service has a number of opportunities, (1 x 35 / 1 x 30 / 1 x 20 hours per week & relief/bank roles). Working a mix of early, late and night/sleepover shifts, including working 2-3 weekends out of 4 on a rotational basis.

Location: Our Community Hub, Unit 10 City Quay, Dundee, DD1 3JA and our Customers own homes & wider community in Dundee.

Drivers preferred but not essential, whilst we welcome applications from drivers, we can consider non drivers. If you do need to go out and about with our customer for that dinner and cinema trip, your costs are covered
