I am a young woman, living in Langholm and I am looking for a Personal Care Assistant to support me for 12.5 hours per week. This is to promote and enable my independence by helping me to access local facilities including public transport and other community activities in the spirit of social inclusion. These activities can include horse riding, tennis, and carriage driving.

Ideally, I am looking for someone to cover 12.5 hours per week on a Monday and Thursday. Flexibility would be an advantage. Hours will be discussed at interview. Due to the location, having your own transport is an advantage but while working with me you will be required to drive my mobility car.

The person that I am looking to employ should be:

  • Friendly, outward going and flexible
  • Experience of working with individuals who have a Learning Disability an advantage, but training will be given to the right person
  • Over 25 and with a clean license due to insurance provision for my mobility vehicle

The qualities that I am looking for are:

You will have paid Annual Leave of 11.5 days per year (based on working 2 days per week).
