Hi, I\’m Georgina, I am 90 years young and live with my wonderful family 5 miles from Dumfries, so you will need a driving licence as there is not a regular bus service. I enjoy being as independent as possible. I have dementia and can be a little forgetful which is why I am needing help with my daily living tasks which include; washing and dressing, breakfast and medication.

The support will be on a week on week off basis with my other Personal Assistant. Ideally I would like someone to come in for two hours in the morning from 7.15 – 9.15 am to help me into my glad rags to go to my clubs as I am an early riser and then for an hour in the evening from 7.00 – 8.00 pm to help me out of my glad rags.

I am looking for someone who has the following qualities: bubbly, reliable, honest and trustworthy, good sense of humour and conversation and above all patience. I would like someone who has at least a year\’s experience working in Adult Social Care or dementia and some moving and handling training, but if not training can be sourced for the right person.

I enjoy being outdoors and with my family and friends.

If you think this is the role for you then I would love to hear from you.

If you are successful you will need to provide evidence of your right to work in the UK.

You will be asked to provide the names of two referees

You will need to be a member of Protecting Vulnerable Group (PVG) scheme. If you are not already a member, I can advise you how to apply.
