Hello! I am a soon-to-be 9-year-old boy living in Newton Stewart with my amazing mum and sister. I am full of energy and joy—and I am looking for a kind, caring, and understanding personal assistant to help me explore the world to give my mum some well-deserved rest.
I have been diagnosed with Autism, an intellectual disability, and ADHD. That means I experience the world a little differently, and I need someone who can meet me where I am—with patience, empathy, and a sense of fun.
Things I enjoy:
- Going on car journeys to discover new places
- Playing in the park and having adventures
- Enjoying games and activities at home
What’s Required:
- Support me to be safe, active, and engaged in everyday life.
- Help me enjoy my favourite activities and explore new ones.
- Build a trusting, consistent relationship with me and my family.
- Be flexible, and work in a person- and family-centred way.
Who I am looking for:
- You don’t need to be an expert—just someone who is kind, caring, and understanding.
- Reliable and consistent.
- Open to learning and adapting.
- Experience supporting children with additional needs is a bonus, but not essential.
What matters most is your heart and your willingness to connect.
Hours: 9 hours per week, ideally spread over 1–2 days. Days and times are open for discussion—flexibility is key.
The rate of pay is £***** per hour with paid annual leave of 5.6 weeks pro rata. A suitable PVG is required.
