An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Design Manager / Senior Project Manager to join a leading multidisciplinary consultancy and play a key role in the successful delivery of a major healthcare development in London.
This position is suited to a highly capable project professional with extensive experience operating within NEC3 or NEC4 contractual environments. You will take ownership of design management, programme coordination, commercial oversight and contractual compliance across a large-scale, technically complex project.
The Opportunity
This is a strategic leadership role offering the chance to work on one of the UK's most significant healthcare developments. The successful candidate will provide direction across multidisciplinary teams while acting as a key interface between design teams, client representatives and project stakeholders.
A thorough understanding of NEC contracts is essential, with the ability to confidently manage change control processes, Early Warnings, Compensation Events and contractual notifications throughout the project lifecycle.
About You
- Proven experience within construction, infrastructure, engineering or large-scale building projects.
- Minimum of five years' practical NEC3 and/or NEC4 contract management experience.
- Strong understanding of contract administration, change management and commercial governance processes.
- NEC accreditation or formal NEC training would be highly advantageous.
- Degree qualified in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or a related discipline.
- Strong commercial awareness and financial management capability.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced project environment.
- Comfortable leading multidisciplinary teams and influencing decision-making at all levels.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience using project planning software such as Asta Powerproject, Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project would be beneficial.
